The Josef Sudek Studio

The last remaining document of the photographic garden studio from the late 19th century, this historical site and gallery carries the name of the famous Czech photographer Josef Sudek. A fire in 1985 almost destroyed the space, but thanks to the investment of the PPF group, a virtually perfect replica was built. The gallery is focused on artistic photography within the context of contemporary art. The main focus of the program consists in presenting Czech authors of the up-and-coming and middle generation who work with the medium in contemporary ways.
